Eight of Austin’s hospitals have recently been given with top patient safety grades by the Leapfrog Group. The Leapfrog group is known to assign hospital safety scores to 2,500 facilities throughout the country twice a year and determine which of these facilities would give quality services for patients. Eight Austin hospitals (like St. David’s Medical Center, and Seton Medical Center Williamson) gained an A letter grade which is the top rating for the Leapfrog
assessment with 3 others receiving grade B and C respectively in Austin.
