Accenture, a global management consulting & technology services company has announced plans to open a 200 person Austin software office. The new Austin office located in Southwest Austin at 5700 Mopac Expy is being opened to create products for human service & state health agencies. Austin is one of six national software developer groups and was picked because it’s a great place to find and hire great talent.
The plan is to initially house 200 employees however they plan on growing to 300 in the next few years. The majority of the workers will be software engineers & developers. Accenture currently has over 1,000 Austin based employees and 259,000 worldwide.
