Amid Austin’s ride-hailing vaccum, Boston startup sees opportunity

Now that Uber and Lyft are no longer operating in Austin, another TNC is aiming to fill the gap left by the two TNC giants and that is Boston’s Fasten Inc. On Friday, the company announced that they will be accelerating their plans to enter the Texas market now that Uber and Lyft are out of the Austin market. Fasten has been very busy in strengthening its company and has already offered services in Boston since October 2015. Meanwhile, Get Me has also announced that they will be expanding their services after acquiring a $500,000 funding on Friday. However, it is not clear as to how many users of GetMe’s service have applied as drivers.
