The first initial public offering completed in the U.S. in 2013 is from Austin-based USA Compression Partners! The company began operations in 1998 and is now one of the biggest natural gas compression service providers in the U.S. Servicing businesses in 13 states the company began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday at about $18 per unit. By the end of the day the it closed at $17.60. The ticker symbol is USAC. One of the reasons for its initial public offering was to repay debt.
