According to WalletHub, a financial resource for small business owners, Austin ranks #1 as the best place to live in the U.S. Their research is based on the quality of a city's health, education, economic growth, tax rates, and livability. All cities with a population of 300,000 or more were ranked.
Austin was #7 in livability, #2 in education, #21 in health, and #2 in economy and taxes.
Raleigh, N.C. came in 2nd with Colorado Springs a close 3rd.
