Austin Makes Top 10 Worst Cities for Traffic in America

According to INRIX, a data technology company that tracks traffic congestion and other traffic information, Austin Tx was the 4th worst city in America for Traffic in 2012.  Los Angeles, Honolulu and San Francisco were ahead of Austin by a few hours.  The study analyzed traffic in 100 of the nations largest metro areas and tracks how many hours drivers wasted while driving due to traffic congestion.

Austin drivers spend an average of 38 hours stuck in traffic in 2012 and that number is steadily increasing. It seems that the economic health of our economy is direcltly correlated to the rise of traffic.  Low unemployment, new jobs added, and a thriving economy are factors.
