Want to start a social impact business but do not know where to start it? In the study done by Halcyon Incubator from Washington, D.C., Austin is the third best city to start social impact initatives in the country after Washington, D.C. and San Francisco. Halcyon studied each city based on the city’s quality of life, regulations, human capital, funding and receptivity in social issues. Austin currently hosts several socially focused business such as UnLtd USA, which started operations in 2014. Last year, the Southwest Angel Network for Social Impact was launched by Bob Bridge and caters investments for social projects around the city.
