For its 10th year birthday, the Birds Barbershop is now reaping the fruits of its expansion efforts. After expanding the salon chain’s stores into eight, company co-founder jayson Rapaport said that the salon has showed a stable revenue since they started in May 2006. The company is currently aiming to attain a $7 million revenue for 2016 now that it has 160 employees. The newest branch is located in The Domain. Rapaport also said that Birds cuts the hair of at least 20,000 Austinites per month and their anniversary would be held on May 15 in their first branch in S. Lamar Blvd which is open to the public.
