For this year’s CANpaign, SpareFoot reportedly gathered about 12 tons of food for the Capital Area Food Bank. The food collected includes cans of corn, green beans and packs of spaghetti.
The employees of the Austin-based company were able to come up with 1,620 pounds of food donations on top of the $6,552 cash. When combined, the SpareFoot employees contributed an estimated value of 24,221 pounds of food to the Food Bank.
For the recent food drive, SpareFoot encouraged other startup companies within the area of Austin and eight companies responded positively however the amount of donations was not revealed.
