According to the report of WalletHub, Austin is the country’s 6th best metro area for STEM workers to look into for job opportunities. The report looked into the 100 largest metro areas in the country and analyzed the opportunities offered in these cities with the help of 17 criteria. Austin currently ranks as fourth for the largest number of STEM workers currently employed in the city. Unfortunately, Austin’s median STEM wage growth and unemployment rate are very low as the city ranked 55th and 49th respectively for both rankings.
