The warehouse market in Austin saw an increase in the second quarter of 2011 which means there is more available industrial and flex space for businesses to lease in the Austin market. The vacancy rate was up over the previous quarter at 13.2%. The vacancy rate was 12.8% at the end of the first quarter 2011, 12.6% at the end of the fourth quarter 2010, and 13.1% at the end of the third quarter 2010. Flex projects reported a vacancy of 20.2% in Q2.
