Last Monday, Strategic Hotel & Resorts Inc. revealed its intention to purchase the Four Seasons Hotel Austin. The property that has just been renovated was on the market since January for an amount of $197 million.
According to the reports, buying the Four Seasons Austin is the Strategic Hotel &Resorts’ first acquired property in the Lone Star state. It currently owns the famous Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego as well 18 other hotels and resorts located in Silicon Valley to Hamburg, Germany.
The real investment trust company also publicly announced that the 291-bedroom hotel will temporarily close this month.
