Although Austin is currently growing and now a very prosperous city, it is currently posing some problems for the working class. According to the recent story of the Austin Business Journal, many working class citizens in the city are now having problems locating an affordable housing for their families due to the increasing housing prices. Adding to the problem of housing prices is the slow development of home builders as they cannot keep up with the demand, adding more problems to the region’s housing problem. The problem is mostly felt by Austin’s contractual workers such as janitors, retail sales people and others.
