B-Cycle has set another record on this year’s SXSW event for the most number of bike-sharing rides in US. As the SXSW progresses, thousands of bike riders went to B-Cycle to borrow bikes for their trips within Austin’s downtown area.
As of Wednesday, almost 21, 177 total trips have been recorded by B-Cycle. Last year, the trips recorded were only 17,800. On Thursday alone, almost 3, 032 trips have been listed. Simply put, a bike has been used in 8.2 trips.
The trips have been managed by B-Cycle’s several stations throughout the venue of the music, film and technology festival.
