Bloomfire, an Austin-based tech startup, has raised $8 million to expand its sales, marketing, and development efforts. Bloomfire’s software lets employees around the world communicate quickly and efficiently with different team members and leaders. This software allows workers to create and post content, communicate with distributed team members, and also follow team experts.
Bloomfire has signed more than 200 customers which includes Re/Max, Etsy, and Aaron’s, the retail furniture chain.
Investors in Bloomfire include Austin Ventures and RedPoint Ventures of Silicon Valley. At this point Bloomfire has raised a total of $18 million. Bloomfire currently has 30 employees, but plans to expand to 50 by the end of next year.
