After almost a decade of providing online data storage, Box Inc. declared that they have already reached over 25 million users. Established by Dylan Smith and Aaron Levie in 2005, Box has expanded from California to London and Japan.
This week, the company continues to grow as it opened its Austin office. The office is located in One American Center which is near the Texas Capitol and right across the impending office of Dropbox.
Box has initially employed 40 employees for their Austin office but the company targets to hire 180 workers in the future years. People who have expertise in technical operations, customer support and relations, and business finance will have a chance of landing a job in the company. However, despite its rapid growth, the co-founders of Box are carefully watching the working environment within the business. According to an interview with its Chief Financial Officer Dylan Smith, Box is striving to preserve its culture as it enlists more talented individuals for providing solutions to the ever-growing need of people in various parts of the world.
Last March, Box has initially announced its plans of raising $250 million worth of financing. However, the plan did not pushed through for undisclosed reasons.
