As more and more people treat coffee shops as their office space coffee shop owners such as Starbucks and Panera bread are starting to limit the time that people can hang out. Currently a lot of coffee shops allow customers to hang out as long as they want and use the free Wifi, however people are abusing this free service. Many people don’t even buy anything. They just sit there all day long hogging up all of the electrical outlets and wireless bandwidth.
Coffee shops are now starting to lay down the law. Starbucks and Panera are starting to limit wifi usage or block it all together. Some are even getting rid of electrical outlets to keep people from staying so long.
