Zurich Insurance wants to redesign its headquarters to increase the productivity of its employees. Instead of relying on the expert views of architects, the company decided to ask the opinion of its 2,500 employees. A survey has been conducted last year and from it, the company was able to tally 22 features that their employees would like to have in the office. These features have been set up and about 150 employees tested the mock office layout.
After 12 weeks, conference rooms with flexible size, social hub and workstations with low walls have been proven effective in increasing employees’ productivity.
