This article in the Austin American Statesman talks about how Travis County is debating on whether or not to build a new court admin building in downtown Austin. Travis County commissioners already have over $100 million in non-voter approved bonds now they are wanting to spend over $60 million to build a 7 story 130,000 sf office building at the corner of San Antonio and West 11th.
We all know how inefficient the governement is in utilizing space. The fact is that they have plenty of it however are not maximizing the square footage. So we must ask ourselves:
DO THEY NEED MORE SPACE? HOW ARE THEY GOING TO PAY FOR IT?
