EmBazaar launches SXSW social network; no ads or revenue at firstSouth By Southwest events can now be seen through a social network designed to provide unofficial information and updates about SXSW. EmBazaar Inc., a company based in Austin, launched an application called Skoop Events. This started as a campus-news provider for universities.

Neil Patwardhan, CEO of EmBazaar Inc., said that this will be a pilot program for a range of micro networks for events. It will be a source of information for everybody, he said.

Skoop Events features the tool which is called “heartbeat” which allows the user to post information and events together with buying and selling relative items.
