Employers embrace mobile workforces but retain traditional workspaces

According to the new research conducted by Barco, companies that allowed their employees to work from home or elsewhere failed to improve their productivity level. The research revealed that companies have been implementing contradicting strategies on their organization that lead to ineffective collaboration.

The survey showed that 86% firms embraced the mobile workforce approach but 73% of these companies still opted to allocate desks or workstations for their employees. Furthermore, 82% of the organizations that joined the BYOD trend said their employees are still using company-issued laptops.

The need for unified communications and collaborations is also recognized by the companies.
