Techstars had their first graduating class his past week in Austin, Tx and CNN was there to report on it. TechStars program offers selected startup companies free office space, see money, and access to mentors with experience and a great rolodex.
Their first inaugural class began in August 2013 which only 10 out of 800 applicants were accepted into the program. To be able to participate in the program the startup companies gave a 6% stake in their businesses.
CNN’s 5 favorite startup companies were Filament Labs, Proto Exchange, Testlio, Atlas, & Gone.
