Over the last year or so freestanding emergency rooms have been the new healthcare trend in Austin……..especially in Northwest Austin. Among the benefits of using them are time savings, convenience, less wait time, and the ability to treat urgent and life threatening situations more efficiently than traditional hospitals. Freestanding ER’s are not typically affiliated with hospitals and surgery is not performed.
