Northwest Austin is about to gain another 500 workers! General Motors Co is planning opening a computer technology center that will employ software developers, business analysts, database specialists, etc. Randy Mott, GM’s CIO is targeting college campuses in Texas for their new hires since this area boasts some of the best computer science programs. The goal is to develop more of the company’s technology in-house as opposed to outsourcing.
