George Patterson Y&R (GP Y&R), an advertising company based in Melbourne sought the help of Hassell to redesign an iconic department store to house its employees. GP Y&R wanted to convert the building into a collaborative office space that would encourage creativity on its teams. As a result, the modern but practical office features working areas for presentations and discussions as well as workstations.
One of the eye-catching features of the office space is the use of bookcases instead of walls and several floor finishes in outlining spaces. The new design also enables the daylight so spread across the area.
