Global real estate investors like London, Munich — and Austin

JLL’s senior vice president of capital markets Jeff Coddington claims he’s got proof that Austin is a gold mine for investments in real estate.

JLL’s report describes Austin as one of the top cities in the world for deals relating to commercial real estate.

Currently, Austin’s world ranking is at No. 12 in JLL’s Investment Intensity Index. The index measures the investments on real estate as a proportion of the gross domestic product of the city.

Coddington also mentioned that there has been a significant arrival of foreign capital in Austin for both equity and debt in the past year.
