It’s official! Google Fiber is coming to Austin Tx! Google’s high speed internet network known as Google Fiber is expected to be here in 2014. Many companies and startups are excited about this because Google’s 1 gigabit broadband network is expected to be over 100 times faster than any currently available broadband internet access. This will not only bolster Austin’s already innovative city but also encourage more startups to move into town and speed up production and development within many different industries.

They plan on offering 3 plans: Gigabit + TV, Gigabit Internet Only, Free internet. Pricing will be announced in 2014 as they get closer to getting residences connnected, however in Kansas the prices range from $70/mo to $120/mo
