Austin welcomes the presence of Howard Lipson and his potential contribution on the city’s music industry. Lipson is one of the financial executive of BlackRock, the company that supported the launch of Octone Records. Meanwhile, Octone Records helped Maroon 5 and other artists in gaining international music acts and world tour.
It was in 2013 when Lipson decided to sell the Octone Records label. He then established the Alignment Artist Capital with a goal of financing artists with a large sum of money. Established artists will have a chance to get funds from Alignment based on its terms and conditions.
