After 50 years of operations on South Lamar Boulevard, the Horseshoe Lounge will be closing its doors on February 15, 2015. This is not the end of Horseshoe Lounge as it has plans of reopening on a new location on South Austin.
Tennia Brown, the owner, was not able to give her comment on the closure but an employee said that there is no definite date on the reopening. The new location was also undisclosed.
Brown did not consider investors to help fund the relocation of the historic Austin bar. It will also serve new mixed drinks upon its reopening.
