When Steven Corcoran and Ryan Farley established LawnStarter in August this year, they wanted to help owners who wanted to hire landscapers but have no idea where to find a good one.
The startup business began its first operation in Washington D.C. However, its CEO and COO decided to transfer its address to Austin after they qualified to the accelerator program of TechStars.
LawnStarter basically offers a platform where customers can choose a landscape contractor. The company will then get 10 to 20% commission out from the contractor’s fee. Based on the reports, LawnStarter received $720,000 financing from 21 investors.
