Lightbank Opens New Workspace for Startups

Good news at River North! Lightbank, a venture capital firm will open a new coworking space for startups. Lightbank will join fast growing similar centers who have emerged to house technology companies and flexible, professional seeking a collaborative place to work.

The Warehouse is Lightbank’s space that will begin accepting applications today to accommodate 100 seats, which cost $300/month. Amenities include access to conference rooms, free printing, a full kitchen stocked and a discounted membership at David Barton gym located downstairs.

Lightbank is located in the former Montgometry Ward catalog building, which was also known to be the home of Groupon’s headquarters. Eric Lefkofsky and Brad Keywell, founder of Lightbank, helped create Groupon and other companies, which both have either funded and founded using Lightbank work out of W. Chicago.  New Enterprise Associates, a coastal venture capital firm which also invested in Lightbank has an office in the building.
