Luminex Shares Down on News of Top Executive’s Departure

top executive departureA sharp downfall was experienced by Luminex Corp. on Wednesday after announcing the retirement of top executive Patrick Balthrop. He is the president and CEO of the company. They have appointed Nachum “Homi” Shamir to take over the two positions.

Luminex’s Russel Bradley, senior vice president, sold a total of 5,000 shares at only $20.50 per share with a total of $102,500.

Nachum Shamir is the recent CEO and president of Given Imaging. He also worked with Eastman Kodak as president. He said that he is honored to be given the position at Luminex due to the company’s financial stability.
