Rail or Fail is the catchy phrase that Austin’s Mayor Leffingwell cleared up at his state of the city address last Tuesday. He smoothen the misunderstanding that causes confusion on who is spreading the push for a downtown rail system.
The mayor also said that there is no official decision yet on whether they will consider the bus rapid transit line or the urban rail system as the mode of additional transportation in Austin. However, almost everyone, including Mayor Lee Leffingwell of Austin is expecting rail.
According to John Julitz, spokesperson of Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority, said that it could be a hybrid version of both. But, the decision Austin will have additional rail or bus will be out this coming month.
