Mary Ellen Poole is the new director of the Butler School of Music. She will be staying at the University of Texas in Austin moving forward. Her appointment will be effective on September 1 this year.
Ms Poole is the dean of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music for the past ten years. She was able to establish an astonishing leadership record, built a very good music school into a great one. No wonder, she was offered the director position of the Butler School of Music.
