A plan that is long overdue will finally have its first step towards accomplishment. The redevelopment for the Rebekah Baines Johnson Center in downtown Austin will push through.
Three companies in Austin will hold the project, which is to redevelop an 18-acre site at 21 Waller Street. DMA Development Co. LLC, Momark Development and Southwest Strategies Group will be responsible in the redevelopment of the 16-story RBJ Center. Affordable senior housing, condominiums, commercial spaces and apartments will be added in the area.
The principal of Momark Development, Terry Mitchell, said that the construction would start after a year.
