I chatted last month about the new F1 race track coming to Austin and man, has it caused some serious interest among businesses. According to the Austin Business Journal, more than 3000 companies have shown interest in being at the F1 racing complex—wow!
It’s amazing how much of an impact a race track can have on our local economy. Sources at ABJ say that the $250-million Formula One project, planned to start construction next month and finish in 2012, is projected to create more than 3,000 seasonal or construction jobs and inject more than $100 million into the local economy. The conceptual master plan calls for year-round events and includes a seminar building, motorsports driving club, kart track and welcome center.
The project is slated for a 900-acre site in southeast Austin at the corner of SH 130 corridor near FM 812.
So, that means that if you or your business has interest in relocating or opening new offices, you better act fast and contact your commercial real estate broker now to help you start the office leasing process near the F1 race track in Southeast Austin.
