The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau released a report called “Financial Wellness at Work” that aims to guide employers in promoting financial wellness in the workplace and hence increase productivity and loyalty of their employees.
Employers are advised to conduct orientation for newly hired employees. These orientation programs may include financial education workshops and financial coaching.
Employers are also encouraged to listen to their employees’ financial and saving needs in order to build a trust network. They can also recommend mobile tools that offer financial trainings.
Lastly, employers can collaborate with public and private sectors to deliver an effective financial wellness program.
