Retail sales in Austin and Texas continue to rise. August was a great month for retailers and because of that boost they are more optimistic about the state of current and future business. The Texas Retail Outlook Survey Sales Index was -3.6 in July. August numbers jumped to 17.7. Similarly the Texas Service Sector Outlook Survey reported an 10 revenue index compared to 2.4 in July. While there are still companies who are uncertain about the impact of future government policies these August numbers have made them a bit more optimistic about the future.
