RideScout buys mobile transit payment app maker

Austin’s tech company RideScout LLC has recently acquired payment software company GlobeSherpa Inc from Portland, Oregon to develop a comprehensive commuting planner that would include fare collection for commuters. RideScout is known for their commute planner app while GlobeSherpa is known for their software which allows commuters to pay public fares through their mobile phones. RideScout is one of Austin’s top startups since it was released as GoingMyWay in 2012. Although the company has recently been acquired by Car2go North America LLC, RideScout is raising funds as of 2014 to improve their services.
