Retailer, Saks Fifth Avenue which is currently located at 9722 Great Hills Trail in the Arboretum area will be closing its retail store doors on December 31st, 2012. After reviewing the profitability of all of its stores it was determined that the Austin location was not as productive location as it would like to be. 64 retail associates will be given separation packages. The Austin store opened in 1997 and was approximately 52,000 sf. Saks Inc operates 45 stores across the U.S.
