Amazon is likely to build a new processing facility in San Marcos City after the City Council offered the known shopping giant with a 10 year, 40% tax cut and annual refunds on their ad valorem taxes deal should they build their Amazon facility in the city. The facility is likely to give San Marcos an additional 350 new jobs for its citizens. Amazon is not the only company who gotten such a deal as in 2012, Shertz has also gotten the same deal in San Antonio for their fulfillment center plant.
