Entropic Communications Inc. is planning to cut down its workforce as part of the company’s consolidation plan. As an effect of this company initiative, their Austin office will be shut down. This office employs 62 workers.
Entropic Communications Inc. is a semiconductor company based in California. Overall, the company will be getting rid of 23% of their Manpower or equivalent to 150 employees. According to the Texas Workforce Commission, these cuts will start in August and will be concluded in September.
Founded in 2001, the company will now be focusing on set-top-box business, broadband access and direct broadcast satellite platforms.
