The Skype headquarters in Palo Alto is a reflection of the application itself- casual, interactive and user-friendly. The basic design revolves around a modern theme and a spatial layout that allows employees to work at their best and maximize their resources. Spaces are divided by clear glass walls and doors so as to show transparency throughout the office. Muted walls and floors were mainly used and splashes of colors were added via the furniture, rugs and wall decors used. Recreation areas as well as relaxation and sitting areas which uses grass-like rugs and mimic an outdoor scene are also available.
