Could planned project set off MoPac development boom?

MoPac Boulevard is one of the promising sites for development outside downtown Austin. Two of the tallest office buildings in the area are now being proposed for construction. This project will be the center of development for the 1.6 million sq. feet property.

The project site is located at the Spicewood Springs Road and MoPac Boulevard. If it will push through, this construction is the long-awaited development in the area. It will bring more businesses and employment.
Residents nearby are opposing the said project in the fear that this will be the start of other tall building construction in their neighborhood.
