Minnesota based software company CollabIP Inc is planning to move to Austin and lease office space on the West side of town. Launched in 2012 the it currently has 12 employees and automates conference call transcriptions. The software is called Tethr and was created by two former Best Buy employees. The web conferencing market is expected to be a $4B market in 2014 and is growing rapidly.
Their main competitors are Cisco Systems, WebEx, Citrix Systems GoToMeeting, and Skype. The software only costs $25 per month per user.
