Startup Corephotonics’ dual-camera tech will change smartphone imaging

Startup Corephotonics announced their new technology that could take the smartphone’s photo shooting to the next level. The tech is called “dual-camera technology.”

It basically uses two 13 megapixel cameras to capture images and process them in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 platforms. The result is a High-definition, crisper, and blurr-free photo, even when shot at a long distance without moving parts. Corephotonics said that the technology processes images in real-time while correcting any misaligned pixels and noises.

Snapdragon 800 headsets with dual-camera technology will be released early this year. Although the new technology uses a camera. It is said that it will still be cheaper compared to phone with 20-megapixel camera.
