More student housing to spring up along East Riverside in Austin

The development on student housing has begun at The Ballpark in East Riverside Drive, Austin. More housing units are planned to be built along the athletic field in the coming three years. Nimes Capital from Los Angeles has allotted an amount of $1.5 million for this project.

Nimes acquired the property last October at the amount of $29 million. Walker & Dunlop Inc. is one of the companies that financed the project.

The director for real estate, Nitin Chexal, said that the property is being converted to a more water and energy efficient facility by the installation of artificial grass.
