One of Texas’ top state insurance regulatory agency heads will be moving to the private sector. Deputy Commissioner Stanton Strickland of the Texas Department of Insurance’s Legal Division will be moving to one of Mitchell Williams Law firm branches in Austin. He will be working at the firm’s insurance regulatory practice group starting this coming February. Strickland has been with the TDI for the past 21 years and currently heads the regulatory efforts of the agency. He is also a part of the AISD Board of Trustees and even served as the president of the Robertson Hill Neighborhood Association and the Organization of Central East Austin Neighborhoods as their president.
