Texas took the top spot of Site Selection magazine’s list of most competitive states. Texas was ranked as the most competitve state, followed by Indiana, Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina.
The list was determined by 10 factors, which included new job creation, tax climate, building and expanding facilites, and career-readiness certificates per 1,000 citizens. The magazine attributed much of Texas’ success to Gov. Rick Perry’s drive to make the states tax climate more friendly to business interests.
