Texas remains at the top of the U.S. when it comes to creating jobs according to economists at the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University. Between May 2012 and May 2013 Texas created jobs at an annual growth of 2.7% vs the Nation at 1.6%. Austin metro area ranked 4th behind Ft Worth, Odessa, and Midland thanks to the oil boom.
